This is the story of workers of the world biggest manual ship breaking industry in Sitakunda, Chittangong in Bangladesh. The industry, directly and indirectly, contains over quarter of a million people under the grip of powerful syndicates, and is producing 80 percent of the country’s demand for steel. However, most workers barely earn 1 US dollar and 50 cents per day, They are also facing very dangerous, toxic environments, likely causing fatal accidents due to the inhaling of carbon dioxide or explosion.
