An iPhone Blog: Baby Swallow Living in Radiation Food Chain

Fukushima: Today I found a baby swallow at the altar at an abandoned elementary school in Ukedo, a highly restricted area in Fukushima. I don’t know why she was out of her nest. She was seemingly fine, even somehow friendly. But I have to tell that she is living in a radiation-contaminated food chain due to the 2011 Fukushima nuke power plant disaster.
